History

DevOn is the technical organization within Waada which transforms organizations to disruptive digital enterprises by delivering software development (DevOps) teams, consulting as well as educating our partners. We believe in delivering custom and high-value solutions to problems where the value for the end-user is kept in mind at all times.

Where we came from

The Waada movement was started by its CEO, Vikram Kapoor. With his history as a serial entrepreneur, his goal is to stimulate personal as well as entrepreneurial development to give everyone the chance to become a better version of themselves. He founded the companies iSense and Silverside. Vikram is born and raised in India and has lived in the Netherlands for 32 years, so we can say he has a foot in both cultures. He wanted to combine both cultures into one company, creating a bridge between India and Europe through technology. This is why, in 2004, he started Prowareness India. The goal was to develop high-quality, high-value software for Dutch customers with our Indian software development teams. The setup was (in hindsight) based on Agile principles, such as deliver often, total transparency, feedback centric & rich communication with the users. As such, Agile became part of our DNA. And from 2013 onwards, we have also been helping organizations with their Agile transition in the Netherlands, see Prowareness for more information on organizational change.

In 2017, the focus turned more towards creating our own mini companies, as is described in ‘the Responsive Enterprise’ (by Vikram Kapoor & Rini van Solingen). This has created the opportunity for DevOn to emerge as the technically focused IT services company which believes in helping companies on “the second wave of Agile” and get software development to the highest level possible.

Rahul Sah, now international CEO of DevOn, has led Prowareness India for the past 12 years and is now using the momentum to bridge the technical excellence we have in India, to not only our partners in the Netherlands, but also our passionate and committed consultants.

What we do

Through consultancy, training and DevOps software teams, we help organizations to radically improve their software development. We shorten time-to-market, ensure that value is added sprintly and provide a flexible and reliable solution for software development. Moreover, we educate software organizations to take the next step towards Continuous Delivery, DevOps and Digital Disruption in order to stay ahead of the competition in this rapidly changing market.
