On September 8th, we hosted our first Hackathon at our office in Delft in collaboration with GitHub.
Robert Jan Zomers, application manager at NN says the following: “A unique opportunity to get acquainted with different automation applications and to take first steps with the aid of very experienced testers”.
The Test Automation Hackathon was set up to get in touch with the community and to build something together. It was an open event, designed to let attendees experiment with different tools and do the things that they normally don’t have or take the time for.
It was a mix of experienced Agile testers and beginners. As Rob van Beest, interim Test Consultant at APG says: “A very successful first acquaintance with Test Automation in the area of functional application testing.” They came together mostly based on what they could learn from each other. It was great to see how people started collaborating and building multidisciplinary teams right away, without knowing each other beforehand.
In 2018, DevOn will be hosting more hackathons, on different subjects. The newsletter will keep you updated!
