DevOps & Continuous Delivery training courses

Both DevOps and Continuous Delivery share common traits and it can sometimes be difficult to undersatnd the differences. Both are aimed at Agile and Lean thinking, with a common goal to shorten the time to market for new services. But what about the differences?

DevOps defines how an organization, its developers, operations personnel and other stakeholders in the value chain work together. Continuous Delivery is a practice within DevOps that helps to automate software development, testing and delivery through tools and processes. It aims to make software releases boring and reliable, so organizations can deliver frequently, at less risk, and get feedback faster from en users.

This sixteen (16) hour course provides an introduction to DevOps – the cultural and professional movement that stresses communication, collaboration, integration, and automation in order to improve the flow of work between software developers and IT operations professionals. Improved workflows will result in an improved ability to design, develop, deploy and operate software and services faster.

A Continuous Delivery architect is a a tool-agnostic individual engaged in the design, implementation, and management of DevOps deployment pipelines and toolchains that support Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Testing and, potentially, Continuous Deployment. A Continuous Delivery architect is also involved in defining or integrating underpinning processes, metrics, APIs and cultural considerations.
